Hier ist das Wochenprojekt – ein Fotobuch namens „haunted“. Die Texte stammen von Virginia Woolfs Kurzgeschichte „A Haunted House“. Unten findet ihr zwei Probeseiten und ein Widget mit dem man die Vorschau durchblättern kann. Hier der Link zur Online-Vorschau des kompletten Buchs.
Ich bin draufgekommen dass das Projekt „Fotobuch“ ein weites Feld ist. Allein die Auswahl der Anbieter ist ein eigenes Thema. Ich habe mich für Blurb entschieden. Die Software ist gut, und die Plattform finde ich besser als Lulu. Aber vor zwei Tagen hat Apple das Programm iBooks Author vorgestellt mit dem man Bücher mit Multimediainhalten speziell für das iPad herstellen kann. Leider hatte ich diese Woche wieder zu viel Arbeit um es auszuprobieren. Aber das werde ich sicher noch machen.

I found out that making a photo book is quite a challenge because there are so many possibilities and platforms to choose from. I decided to go with Blurb. I like the software and the platform better than Lulu. But Apple presented the iBooks Author software a few days ago, which you can use to make multimedia book especially for the iPad. Unfortunately I was so busy working this week (again) that I did not find the time to try it. But I will do it some time soon.

But it is not my intention to earn money with this project, so it is priced in a way that there will be no earnings for me. I am working on a free ebook- and PDF-version of this book, but this may take some time.)
