Nach dem letzten Urlaubsvideo (oder wie auch immer ihr das nennen wollt) aus Innsbruck kommt hier ein weiteres, dieses Mal mit dem Material das ich im August 2011 in Århus (Dänemark) in der Ausstellung von Olafur Elisasson gefilmt habe. In der Installation „Your Blind Movement“ geht man durch einen mit Nebel und Licht gefüllten Raum. Die Sicht schrumpft auf Armlänge, die eigene Wahrnehmung wird dadurch völlig verändert. Ich mochte das sehr.
Die Inspiration für das Voice Over stammt von dem Gedicht „Siren Song“ von Margaret Atwood.
After the last holiday video (or whatever you may call it) from Innsbruck here comes another one. This time I shot the footage in August 2011 in Århus, Denmark. I went to the exhibition of Olafur Eliasson’s work. In the installation „Your Blind Movement“ you are walking through a room that is completely filled with fog and colored light. Your sight is that of an arm’s length, and the perception of your surroundings changes drastically. I liked it a lot.
The voice over is in German only, sorry. I got inspired by some lines from the poem „Siren Song“ by Margaret Atwood. It is basically about the siren saying „come closer!“ and „help me!“ to lure the sailor into his death.
