Rest In Peace, my dear.

Today one of my favorite analog cameras died. She lasted only two and a half film rolls and could not do much else than take simple pictures. I think the only electrical stuff in it was the connection from the hotshue to the inside of the camera. But this was exactley why I liked it so much – it did not pretend to be more than a simple camera. It had a 50mm fix focus plastic lens that produced beautiful blurred edges. That was it. Apart from selecting the view and pushing the release button there was nothing. Yes, there are Lomo cameras that can do the same, but they are always making a fuzz about it. This camera was nothing more than a very cheap plastic thingy. But one without a wide angle lens, and that was one of the main reasons why I loved it so much. Rest in peace, my dear.
